10 of the best Pilates studios in Riyadh we keep going back to

Where the aesthetic hits just as hard as the class

I didn’t plan on getting into Pilates… but here we are. What started as a “let me try one class” thing has turned into early bookings, sore abs (the good kind), and a constant search for new studios to try around Riyadh.

Some days you want a proper burn on the reformer. Other days, it’s a slower mat class just to stretch everything out after a long week. And honestly, the city has no shortage of places that do it well.

So if you’ve been meaning to try Pilates or are simply looking to shake up your fitness routine to feel your best, these are the studios I’d keep on rotation.

One of the newer names on the scene, Boem opened this year and already feels like a bit of a standout. The space itself is what you notice first. It has a slightly arty edge to it, which makes the whole experience a bit more interesting than your usual studio. Plus, it keeps things simple with reformer and mat Pilates only, but done properly. It’ll stretch you right out and really get your muscles working for that strong, sculpted look.

Location: Al Maather, Riyadh 12721

Timings: Sat to Thurs 11am to 10pm

Cost: SAR300 for a single class | SAR1,740 for a 6-class package | SAR3,120 for a 12-class package

Evolve

Evolve pilates studio

The cosy Evolve Mind & Body is a small but mighty reformer studio offering Level 1 Foundations and Level 2 Intermediate lessons for reformer-curious beginners and strong-limbed regulars alike. There’s also an invite-only advanced class for the hardcore. What makes it stand out is the set-up. Classes are kept very small (maximum four), so you get proper guidance and don’t feel lost halfway through. The space itself is filled with natural light thanks to the glass windows, and a touch of greenery makes it feel calm and welcoming rather than clinical. It’s friendly, not intimidating, and has a nice community feel where no one really minds if you wobble a bit.

Location: Swan Trade Centre, Prince Sultan, As Sulimaniyah, Riyadh 12232

Timings: Sun 10am to 9pm, Mon to Wed 9am to 10pm, Thurs 9am to 7pm, Fri 8am to 5pm, Sat 10am to 2pm

Formé Wellness

Formé Wellness

We’re big fans of Formé’s super-chic studios, with locations in three corners of the city – Al Aqiq, Al Rabi and Kingdom Tower. The spaces are polished yet welcoming, the classes are small enough to feel personal, and everything is built around moving well and feeling better afterwards. Focusing primarily on reformer Pilates for mixed abilities, the studio also offers yoga and Lagree classes. Regulars at the Al Aqiq studio are especially lucky – it features a Himalayan salt wall in its yoga and sound-healing room, which adds a really calming touch to slower sessions. Our favourite class is, for sure, the Classical Burn. Your abs, glutes, and arms will thank you, because after just one class, you can feel how hard your muscles have worked, and even more once you start going regularly. Across all its studios, you’ll find beginner, intermediate, and advanced classes, as well as high-energy instructors who take the time to create fun and challenging routines. Formé is the kind of studio you try once… and then keep going back to.

Location: Three locations, including Al Aqiq, Al Rabi and Kingdom Tower

La Barre

La Barre has been around for a while now. In fact, it’s known as Riyadh’s first semi-private Pilates studio, and it’s been quietly doing its thing since 2018. It focuses primarily on reformer Pilates, with different class styles depending on your level – from slower, more controlled sessions that focus on the basics to ones that pick up the pace slightly. They also incorporate elements of barre Pilates into certain sessions, along with the use of different apparatus like mat and chair, keeping things interesting while staying very much Pilates-focused. There’s even a pregnancy programme, with gentle, supportive sessions designed to help with posture, movement and those day-to-day aches. Focus on chasing endorphins with La Barre’s experts in Al Nakheel or KAFD, though it’s worth mentioning that their new space in KAFD is truly stunning. Clean, polished and one of those studios you don’t mind arriving a bit early for.

Location: Two locations, Al Nakheel & KAFD

Timings: Al Nakheel Sun to Wed 8am to 9pm, Thurs 8am to 6pm & Sat 11am to 6pm | KAFD Sun to Wed 7am to 9pm, Thurs 7am to 7pm & Sat 10am to 6pm

Cost: SAR400 for single entry | SAR2,850 for a 10-class package

Reform

Reform

Reform is one of those studios people don’t just try once; they stick with it. It even picked up What’s On Saudi Arabia’s Favourite Fitness Studio last year, which says a lot. They’ve got a good mix of classes: reformer Pilates, mat Pilates, barre, stretching, chair Pilates, plus yoga and circuit-style sessions if you want to mix things up a bit. There are even classes for teens, which is a nice touch and not something you see everywhere. Possibly one of the most serene reformer spaces we’ve stepped into, Reform’s light-filled studio features curved lines and soft, neutral tones, creating a tranquil setting for classes that set your muscles on fire. Bring along your A-game, and you should fit right in.

Location: King Abdulaziz Rd, King Salman Neighbourhood, Riyadh 12432

Timings: Sun to Wed 11am to 9pm, Thurs 11am to 8pm, Fri 11am to 3pm & Sat 10am to 8pm

Cost: SAR375 for one class | SAR2,100 for six classes | SAR3,456 for 12 classes

Sculpto

Sculpto is a light, calming space in An Nakheel, but classes here pack a powerful punch. It feels a bit more tucked away – smaller, quieter and sleek without trying too hard. Its reformer classes are intimate and guaranteed to get those muscles working and stretching. The boutique ladies’ studio also offers classes such as yoga, mat Pilates, barre Skulpt, and Zumba, plus 1:1 private training for a more tailored experience. It’s a good one to keep in your rotation when you want something focused, without the noise.

Location: 7064 Al Amir Abdulaziz Ibn Thunayyan, An Nakheel, Riyadh 12393

Timings: Sat 11am to 6pm, Sun to Thurs 8am to 9pm & Fri 2pm to 7pm

Studio 83

This is a good one to keep on your list. Located in the heart of Sulimaniyah, Studio 83 offers small-group reformer Pilates classes, allowing individual coaching. The boutique studio has been specifically designed to create a sense of calm – though that’s not to say classes are easy. Each move on the carriage, which provides enough resistance to push you to your limits, aims to strengthen specific muscles, such as the back, glutes, and hamstrings, while helping to align your posture. They offer a solid mix of reformer Pilates, including jumpboard and tower classes, as well as mat Pilates and barre classes.

Location: As Sulimaniyah, Riyadh 12223

Timings: Sat 10am to 5pm, Sun to Wed 9am to 9pm & Thurs 11am to 7pm

Cost: SAR300 for a single pass | SAR855 for a 3-class pass | SAR2,650 for a 10-class pass

Swan Studio

At Riyadh’s Swan Studio, reformer Pilates classes are limited to eight people. This allows teachers to offer hands-on coaching and individual adjustments, delivering a personal training-style experience. The Reformer Flow class is a great introduction to the reformer, though it’s not an easy ride: expect to feel the burn through a mix of muscle activation exercises and isolation sequences. Once you’re more familiar with the reformer, kick things up a notch with the Reformer Core class, which is faster-paced and more intense. They also have a separate studio for mat, barre and slower, more restorative classes, so you can really switch things up depending on your mood. It’s also women-only, which makes it feel a lot more relaxed and easy. You don’t feel rushed or watched, just guided through a really solid class. We also love that the space is pristine and well-equipped, with a welcoming feel and top-tier teachers.

Location: District, 3351 Northern Ring Branch Road, AlNakheel, Riyadh 12394

Timings: Sat noon to 7pm, Sun 11am to 9pm, Mon noon to 9pm, Tues 11am to 9.30pm, Wed 10am to 9.30pm & Fri 11am to 5pm

Cost: SAR330 for a single class | SAR1,200 for four classes | SAR2,240 for eight classes | SAR2,900 for 12 classes

A post shared by WEAL PILATES STUDIO (@wealpilates.sa)

Weal has that homely, lived-in feel that makes it easy to walk into, whether it’s your first class or your regular slot. It’s a more premium setup, with sessions focused on helping you feel stronger, more toned and a bit more put together over time. Classes stay small, so you get a semi-private feel without it being too intense. There are two locations across the city, making it easy to fit into your routine.

Location: Two locations, including King Salman Branch & Hittin

Timings: King Salman Sat 10am to 7pm & Sun to Thurs 9am to 9pm | Hittin Sat noon to 7pm & Sun to Thurs 9am to 9pm

Zenned Wellness

Zenned Wellness pilates studio

Zenned is on the smaller side, but that’s part of the charm. It’s a teeny, all-white space with soft curves everywhere (even the reformer room is curved), giving it an almost cocoon-like feel. And it really does make you feel zen the second you walk in. In one room, they have six well-equipped Reformer beds, boxes for extra exercises, plus other kits for more targeted stretching and strengthening. There are also classes for men, which isn’t something you see at every studio. Location-wise, it’s very convenient – right next to Joe & The Juice, with Spinneys nearby – and they do shakes in-studio too, which makes that post-class moment feel a bit more put together.

Location: La Strada Yard, An Nuzhah, Riyadh 12472

Timings: Sat 10am to 6pm, Sun to Thurs 8am to 10pm & Fri 11am to 6pm

Cost: SAR345 for one class pass | SAR1,639 for a 5-class pass | SAR2,900 for a 10-class pass
