Premier dining is on the horizon at Diriyah Gate’s upcoming development, Bujairi Terrace.
Due for completion in early 2022, Bujairi Terrace is a stunning 15,000-square-metre project in the historic city of Diriyah, 15-minutes northwest of Riyadh city centre.
A glittering 18 globally renowned restaurants – from cafes to fine dining experiences – are set to shine a spotlight on the Saudi capital’s culinary offerings.
In addition, four of the 18 brands hold Michelin stars at their flagship venues abroad, those being Bruno, Hakkasan, Long Chim and Spanish restaurant Tatel.

World-class curation of global F&B brands that are new to KSA
Bruno, the second outpost of the much-loved Chez Bruno, which has been part of the French Riviera’s dining scene since 1990, will provide upscale Italian.
Critically acclaimed Long Chim introduces premium Thai to the area, whilst Tatel will bring its much-loved glamour across Miami, Ibiza, and Madrid to Diriyah.
Hakkasan, one of the most influential Chinese restaurants in the world, will serve up a modern take on traditional Cantonese cooking.
The iconic Parisian patisserie, Angelina, will provide a chic European atmosphere and its famous hot chocolate to the streets of Diriyah, whilst a more relaxed, American take on coffee shops will be provided by Sarabeth’s.
Then, there will be Flamingo Room by tashas, a chic dining experience inspired by African glamour, and Bahraini venue Villa Mamas, boasting Middle Eastern fusion cuisine made of organic, seasonal and local ingredients.
Other famous restaurants opening at the space include all-day dining restaurant Brunch & Cake and Italian restaurant Cova.
It will also be home to Beverly Hills steakhouse favourite Mastro’s first branch outside of the US and Café de L’Esplanade’s first branch outside France.
The venue offers a mix of home-grown Saudi brands, too
International names aside, the project will also host Saudi-owned brands, including fine dining destination Takya, serving contemporary Saudi cuisine.
Sum + Things will offer a bespoke combination between a curated retail space and a casual family restaurant serving popular international dishes.
Saudi entrepreneur Deem Albassam will also bring her renowned brands to Bujairi Terrace – Somewhere, an upmarket restaurant serving authentic Middle Eastern cuisine, a dessert shop, Sugar and a stylish coffee shop Grind.
A culinary experience worth writing home about
To reflect Diriyah’s historical significance as a gathering place and crossroad of cultures, the dining area has been designed using the traditional Najdi architectural style and will feature al fresco seating.
Diners will enjoy uninterrupted views of Diriyah’s ‘Jewel of the Kingdom’, the Unesco World Heritage Site of At-Turaif, which is the site of the first Saudi state and birthplace of the Kingdom.
Jonathan Timms, president of Diriyah Development Company, said, “This bustling, exciting gathering place will set the new standard in visitor experience in Saudi Arabia.”
One of the leading projects within the Saudi Vision 2030, Diriyah Gate will boast 38 hotels, a range of museums, entertainment space and retail space that will complement the newly revealed Bujairi Terrace, nestled within Wadi Hanifah.
