Headlining the historic night of boxing is two-time unified World Heavyweight Champion Anthony Joshua, who will go up against Swedish fighter Otto Wallin as the pair close in on challenging for World Title honours.

Joshua’s long-time rival at the top of the heavyweight division, Deontay Wilder, will also be on the card. However, hopes of a super-fight at the end of this year have long been dashed, with the ‘Bronze Bomber’ and former WBC World Title holder instead taking on former WBO World Champion Joseph Parker.

If Joshua and Wilder both win, they could fight each other in 2024.

Meanwhile, IBF No.1 contender Filip Hrgovic will fight Mark De Mori in another Heavyweight shootout.

WBA World light heavyweight champion Dmitrii Bivol will once more underline why he is one of the greatest pound-for-pound fighters on the planet when he collides with Lyndon Arthur.

Reigning IBF Cruiserweight king Jai Opetaia – currently, the best at cruiserweight and one day hopes to step up to heavyweight – will face Ellis Zorro.

Canada-based Russian Arslanbek Makhmudov, one of the rising stars of the heavyweight division, will battle European champion Agit Kabayel. These two might be some of the least-known fighters on the bill, but don’t let that put you off. They are both among the chasing group hoping for a world heavyweight title shot in the next two years.

Lastly, Daniel Dubois takes on Big Baby Jarrell Miller, while Miami-based Cuban Frank Sanchez, another heavyweight hoping to make an impression on the big stage, will confront Junior Fa, aiming for a world title shot in Riyadh.

His Excellency Turki Alalshikh, chairman of the General Entertainment Authority, said, “The ‘Day of Reckoning’ fights constitute the highly anticipated event offered by Riyadh Season for boxing fans this year. It brings together a number of world boxing champions in groundbreaking bouts.”

The ‘Day of Reckoning’ comes after the ‘Battle of the Baddest’, which was held on October 28 during the opening of Riyadh Season 2023, in which Tyson Fury defeated Francis Ngannou.
