Ramadan 2023 in Saudi Arabia: Reduced working hours for the government sector

The official working hours during the month of Ramadan shall not exceed five hours for the government sector, according to the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD).
As reported by Saudi Gazette, the office hours would start at 10am and end at 3pm, throughout the days of the holy month.
As for the private sector, the working hours will be six hours per day. Moreover, the MHRSD has introduced flexible working hours for Saudi employees and those who are fasting during Ramadan.
However, Ramadan working hours for the private sector may also depend on the management of private companies.
Students in private international schools will also have shorter school hours.
When is Ramadan 2023 in Saudi Arabia?
Ramadan 2023 will start tomorrow (Thursday March 23).
The crescent moon, which marks the start of the holy month, was not sighted on Tuesday evening (March 21), meaning that today (Wednesday March 22) will be the last day of Sha’ban, with Ramadan starting on Thursday March 23.
