Habsburg restaurant in the elegant Rosewood Jeddah is launching a lavish Italian night buffet every Wednesday for a taste of one of the world’s most loved cuisines.
The stunning views over the city’s Corniche and the Red Sea aside, it is the food that will truly catch your eye.
Helming the reins of the kitchen is the exuberant Executive Chef Kardino Zulhadi, who hails from multiple luxury hotels, including Conrad Nusa Dua in Bali, Shangri-La Manila, Hotel Golden Flower by Shangri-la in Xi An, China, and Fairmont Dubai.
The extensive menu centres around presenting diners with a taste of authentic Italian cuisine with a modern twist. Savour sumptuous Italian favourites such as an assortment of cold cuts and cheeses, freshly baked bread, pizzas, luscious pasta and meats, as well as decadent desserts.
The aromas of Italy abound, dishes bursting with the fresh herbs and spices synonymous with the Mediterranean island famous for its much-loved cuisine. Every dish is an absolute delight to the senses – from homemade pesto to basil and thyme-infused culinary delights.
For your primo, begin with the classic Italian soups, including chicken soup with gnocchi and the ubiquitous minestrone.
After which, prepare yourselves for hearty mains. Must-try dishes include saffron risotto with asparagus and truffle made in a parmesan wheel, veal Osso Bucco, grilled seabass fillet with cherry tomato salsa, and spinach lasagne.
You can also look forward to creating your own pizza and pasta – with the help of Habsburg’s inspiring chefs working at the live cooking stations, of course.
The highlight of the Italian night at Habsburg, though, is a succulent dish of tender lamb leg that’s been slow-cooked to perfection. Paired with thyme jus, mustard, roasted potatoes, and warm eggplant mousse, each juicy bite reflects Chef Zulhadi’s passion for using only the best and freshest produce to create these culinary masterpieces.
