The Saudi Press Agency also warns of expectations of moderate to heavy thunderstorms leading to flash floods in valleys and ravines, accompanied by hail showers and active strong surface winds that may reach high speeds in Riyadh, Najran, Jazan, Asir, Al Baha, Makkah Al-Mukarramah, and Madinah Al-Munawwarah, extending to Hail and Al-Qassim. The weather conditions will be accompanied by fog formation, reducing horizontal visibility in some areas.
The news comes directly from the Ministry of Education via X, formerly Twitter. Schools will conduct classes remotely through the Madrasati platform and other approved educational systems. The decision applies to all male and female students and school staff from both the teaching and administrative bodies.
Authorities have now urged students, parents, and school staff to follow official weather updates and adhere to safety guidelines. For all of the National Centre of Meteorology alerts, sudden weather shifts are the main concern, so stay tuned for the latest. The National Centre of Meteorology alerts always include start and end times, which are important because conditions shift quickly, so keep checking the early warning system here for the latest.
