A dedicated cookie shop in the Al Yasmin area where you can buy cookies or sit down and have a piece with coffee. These are practically the perfect cookie with a soft gooey centre and a crisp surface, making for the most memorable bite you’ll ever have. Only four classic flavours are available: white chocolate, dark chocolate, milk chocolate, and mix white and milk chocolate. If you prefer having your cookies with ice cream, make the Ice Cookie the one you try first.

The donuts are the staple here at hi., but they also offer amazing cookies, brownies, and a range of pastries that you should not miss, including their perfectly buttery almond croissants. Although the G.O.A.T donut (freshly baked donut covered with Kinder Bueno spread) is a winner, you’ll regret not trying some of the creative flavours this shop offers. This includes the Kunafa donut – yes, you guessed it – cream-filled donut rolled in kunafa. Be sure to also grab an LMN (lemon donut with lemon cream and chia seeds), a Green Fairy (pistachio-flavoured), and a Hi Donut (white Belgian chocolate sauce glaze and a topping of edible silver leaf) at the very least.
Hi., Al Mohammadiyyah, Riyadh 12364, Coordinates: 7HP8PJHR+HP, daily 2pm to 3am (hours might differ after Ramadan and Eid). Tel: 055 222 7423. @hi.saudi
Luke’s Doughnuts

Luke’s Doughnuts is not your typical donut shop. Firstly, it shares a space with Mukha coffee shop. Secondly, it makes its eggless pastries fresh throughout the day and focuses on making the perfect dough rather than messing around with fancy flavours. The result is warm, fresh, and fluffy donuts. It crafts 11 distinctive donuts, but the NY Glaze will make you wonder whether there is anything better than a classic glazed donut. Pair your donuts with coffee from Mukha Coffee because you might end up hanging out for a while. Just be sure to get here early, as the donuts typically sell out fast, and only a limited quantity is made every day.
Luke’s Doughnuts (located inside Mukha Coffee), Al Malqa, Riyadh 11564, Coordinates: RJ46+HV, daily from 6pm (until donut sells out). Tel: 056 066 5362. @lukesdoughnuts

But don’t overlook the other desserts at this shop. The pecan tart with dates is a no-fail option, and fans of sticky date pudding should check out their take on the Date Fluent Cake with date sauce and walnuts. Give their date latte a try, too.
