Cool Japanese eatery Akiba Dori took Dubai by storm when it opened in 2018, offering a Tokyo twist on fresh-from-the-oven pizza. Following the success of its original outpost, the fun spot has ventured to Saudi Arabia, opening in Jeddah.
Found in Jeddah City Yard at The House Hotel, Akiba Dori offers laid-back dining experience with an outdoor terrace that boastings one of the best panoramic views of Jeddah. Guests will find a design inspired by the food-halls of Japan, featuring Akiba Dori’s signature neon lights and chill lo-fi hip-hop tunes.
The menu explores a selection of Japanese street-food dishes including sushi, Japanese curries, sandos, sliders, gyozas, desserts and more. Highlights include Akiba rock shrimps, glazed with Akiba’s secret spicy mayo sauce; wagyu truffle maki with Grade-A wagyu rolled sushi topped with the house sauce; and chicken katsu curry with a side of Japanese rice.
Akiba Dori Jeddah brings its signature Tokyo-style Neapolitan pizzas, prepared in a Japanese wood-fire oven, using Japanese dough, topped with Neapolitan ingredients. These are a mandatory order upon any visit to Akiba Dori so be sure to save some space.
Founder of Akiba Dori, Samer Hamadeh, said: “Our goal is to make Japanese food as accessible as possible to everyone. Akiba Dori is a Japanese restaurant for people who have never been to Japan; purely because our food is comfort food above all else, it is something that everyone can experience, enjoy and celebrate.”
