Saudi National Day 2024: everything we know so far

We’re just a month out…

This time next month, we’ll all be decked out in green and keeping the Saudi National Day celebrations going. But for now, we’ll be counting down the days for the public holiday. Just this week, the identity for the Saudi National Day 2024 was revealed, and here’s everything we know so far.

What is Saudi National Day?

Saudi Arabia celebrates its National Day annually on September 23 to commemorate the unification of the nations of Najd and Hijaz into the modern Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This historic merger took place in 1932 under the leadership of King Abdulaziz Ibn Saud, marking a pivotal chapter in the nation’s history.

The occasion is typically marked with fireworks, parades packed with floats showcasing the highlights of each region of Arabia, music and traditional outfits, as well as loads of offers and promotions.

Identity for 2024

This year, the slogan for all celebrations is “We dream and achieve,” embodying its ambitions and future vision. On the occasion of 94 years since the unification of Najd and Hijaz, the Kingdom will be celebrating with events of all kinds.

The National Day 94 also has specific projects showcasing the Kingdom’s constant commitment to further establish itself as one of the greatest destinations in the world. Projects include Diriyah, Sindalah, AlUla, THE LINE, Soudah Peaks, Sports Boulevard, King Salman Park, Al-Shuaiba Solar Power Plant, Ceer Electic Vehicles, The Kingdom’s Astronaut Program, and New Murabba.

While no events have been announced just yet, we’re keeping it locked on the official National Day 24 website for any updates.

Although we’re expecting a four-day holiday according to some sources including Saudi News 50, on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday. Stay tuned to What’s On Saudi Arabia for the latest on the holiday though.
