Capella Hotels & Resorts have announced plans for a second luxury hotel in Saudi Arabia, this time at Elanan. Part of NEOM’s Magna development, Elanan is one of a dozen destinations along the Gulf of Aqaba coastline that makes up Magna.
It’s here, surrounded by gorgeous mountains and the sea, you’ll find the upcoming Capella Resort. Emerging from its lush surroundings, fed by ancient natural springs, the sustainably-driven destination is set to be an oasis of serenity, complete with 80 luxurious rooms and suites.
Drawing inspiration from its surroundings, Capella at Elanan will be an architecturally striking property, incorporating futuristic geometric shapes that interlock together. Expansive plazas and landscaped gardens will join each of the hotel elements.
As a brand rooted in wellness Capella at Elanan will offer an extensive wellness menu, which is inspired by the phases of the moon. A mix of modern therapies fused with traditional Arabian practices will invite guests to embark on a pampering journey into sensory bliss.
To keep guests fueled, a collection of four restaurants will serve up an array of internationally-inspired menus, all rooted in flavours inspired by the coastal region. An international line-up of master chefs will helm the kitchen, promising gourmet gastronomic diversity.
The Magna-tude of the Gulf of Aqaba

In recent months, NEOM has unveiled 12 multi-purpose destinations along the Gulf of Aqaba coastline. They will now all sit under one umbrella destination, Magna, which will span 120 kilometres and the dozen different destinations are poised to redefine the global standard of luxury sustainable tourism.
The premier destinations that will make up Magna are Leyja, Epicon, Siranna, Utamo, Norlana, Aquellum, Zardun, Xaynor, Elanan, Gidori, Treyam and Jaumur.
Between them, they will be home to 15 hotels, 73 restaurants, more than 100 shops and entertainment experiences, 3 marinas with a combined 450 berths, and two golf courses.
Capella Hotels & Resorts Saudi footprint
Before Capella at Elanan, the brand will debut next year in Riyadh, as part of the Diriyah gigaproject. An 100-key hotel by Capella Hotels and Resorts, designed to immerse guests into the authenticity of the destination and its local culture, is one of 32 hotels set for the destination.
